As NdFeB magnets, Samarium Cobalt (SmCo) magnets also belong to rare earth magnets, which are the most advanced commercial permanent magnets today. SmCo magnets have high magnetic property and low temperature coefficient. Energy product ranges from 14 MGOe to 32 MGOe.

Unlike NdFeB magnets, SmCo magnets are suitable for working temperatures higher than 350°C. SmCo materials are less subject to corrosion and usually do not require coating or plating. SmCo magnets may be the most effective answer to difficult magnetic design problems. SmCo magnets are available in both sintered and bonded forms.

SmCo magnets are widely used in motors, watch, transducers, instruments, meters, positional detector, particle accelerators, generators, electronics, aviation, radar, etc.
